Letter to the editor: Montana delegation can still avoid being complicit to treason - by Bob Allen

Found here. Our comments in bold.
----------------------

This letter writer is all in a titter about Trump. We are convinced that rationality has departed from the Left, if it ever had it. Supposedly Trump has defied court rulings, when in fact he has obeyed every one, no matter how inane or unreasonable.

But more to the point, what does the Constitution, so valued and honored by the letter writer, actually say about treason?

Article III, Section 3. Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.

Hmmm. No mention of defying judges.)
----------------------

I swore to defend The Constitution from threats foreign and DOMESTIC when I joined the U.S. Navy and honorably served my country.

It is the same Constitution to which Sheehy, Daines, Zinke and Downing made their pledge.

This founding document, which millions have served and died to uphold, has provided guardrails as the United States has ricocheted forward through our tumultuous 250-year history.

This oath requires a solemn commitment and responsibility that its defense, like a torch, is to be passed onto the next generation, who will then carry it forward to enjoy the same freedoms it guarantees today. I paid forward the privilege of living in a country where our shared human rights are guided by the hard fought document made by the people, for the people.

In a world full of failed dictatorships, my sacrifice was to ensure OUR country continued forward with a set of rules that were sacrosanct, like them or not.

Trump’s defiance of court rulings is text-book treason, according to the Constitution. (The letter writer finally gets to his point.)

The cowardly silence from Montana’s elected delegation speaks volumes of their complicity of what they know to be an impeachable offensive.

They are breaking their oath, telling the biggest lie by looking the other way. They are covering for a traitor, which makes them traitors themselves.

Our glamorous Montana representatives ran campaigns touting their military service, but now stab in the back every patriot who has ever served. As a proud veteran and a passionate Montanan, I am ashamed that these out-of-touch carpetbaggers represent me and this fine state.

Gentlemen, right this ship, or resign! Defend The Constitution. Country over party. Stand with patriots, not a draft-dodging wanna-be king!

Don’t let treason be your legacy.
